Angelique Kidjo - Shango Wa
Please watch this video!!…Angelique Kidjo is just STUPENDOUS. This is what I call an authentic virtuoso.
Can you feel the passion emanating from this woman as she sings?.
She is singing in the Yoruba language which is spoken notably in Nigeria and Benin. I believe “Shango” in Yoruba means "god of fire"
I am not trying to be funny or histrionical but I literally was moving my head from side-to-side throughout the entire performance and when she finished, I literally applauded. She is a pure genius.
Angelique Kidjo is really preeminent; she is in a league of her own. Very few can really make music which transcends powerfully.
NB: Even after all these years, she still dances amazingly on stage.
More power to this African woman!
"Shango, shango boluki shango shango"!!!!
